Speaker Tim Celek

Tim Celek has served as The Crossing’s Lead and Founding Pastor for nearly 30 years. During this time, he has grown the church from a handful of people to over 2,500. Thousands of lives have been impacted locally and globally through Tim’s leadership of the people of The Crossing.

Tim passion, first and foremost, has been to reach, touch and speak to those who are saying no to God giving them an opportunity over time to say yes to Jesus. Over 40% of the people who attend The Crossing state that The Crossing is there first ever church of record.

Tim’s leadership has unleashed unprecedented engagement with our local community, in our local schools and our city. This has resulted in numerous volunteers taking part in several school campus makeovers, reading programs for kids, ESL classes for adults, and services for the homeless. Our recovery ministry, Lifelines, was birthed nearly at the outset of the church and sees nearly 500 men and women moving toward a life of sobriety each Friday night. This ministry has helped restore thousands of addicts to a life of health and wholeness.

Tim’s vision is for the church to be a place for ALL people, regardless of their spiritual, ethnic, cultural, economic, or educational backgrounds continues to be realized. Over 45% of those who attend are from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds (other than Caucasian).

Tim began his career in ministry at Calvary Church Santa Ana, where he served as the Singles Pastor. Calvary Santa Ana then offered Tim the opportunity to plant a new church in the city of Costa Mesa in the fall of 1988. In 1994, due to the growth of this new church plant, under Tim’s leadership began to look for a new location. In 2001, The Crossing broke ground on a 4.7 acre just off the 55 fwy in the city of Costa Mesa. Tim has led the church through four successful capital campaigns raising over $13 million dollars, as well as, secured and built over $30 million in land and buildings. This includes 60,000 square feet of buildings and 4 story parking structure.

Approximately 5 years ago, Tim began an intentional succession planning process to hand over leadership of The Crossing to a new Lead Pastor. The official transfer of leadership took place in the fall of 2018 on the church’s 30th anniversary. Tim continues to support the vision of The Crossing and the next generation of leadership in his new role as Founding Pastor.

Tim lives in Costa Mesa, with Sue, his wife of 40 years. They are parents and grandparents, with two married daughters and two grandsons; Emily and Taylor have 9-year-old Lucas, and Lauren and Jeff have 2-year-old Elijah. Tim enjoys riding his Harley with his wife, Sue, racing sailboats, along with sailing for pleasure, and spending time with his growing family.

Jeremy serves as the lead pastor of Skyline Church and Seven Church in East County, San Diego. Skyline, a multisite church, has campuses in the communities of Lakeside, Rancho San Diego, and Kansas.

Jeremy has been in full time ministry for over 21 years. He began as a youth pastor in South County San Diego and then moved to a young adult teaching role at High Desert Church in Victorville, CA. Jeremy’s passion is taking a grassroots ministry and equipping others, evangelizing, and seeing the ministry grow to reach the lost. It was in 2007 that Jeremy began to build teams to plant a new church called Seven San Diego Church. On February 10, 2008, that church was launched in Otay Ranch, San Diego. The church grew to become a multisite church, where additional locations in Lakeside, East County San Diego. After 8 years of setting up and tearing down the church in community centers, schools, parks, and movie theaters, Seven San Diego found its home. After adopting Living Hope Church in Lakeside in 2015, the plan for a 12-month renovation project turned in to a 3-year renovation challenge. But seeing lives changed, marriages restored, addictions broken, the lost found, and the community served, was well worth the challenge. Following where the Lord led him, Jeremy became Sr. Pastor of Skyline Church in Rancho San Diego in November 2018. Seven Church is now a campus of Skyline, and Skyline is now a campus of Seven Church. As one church in multiple locations, Jeremy’s goal is to help people find and follow Jesus SEVEN days a week.
